yes it is natural that till you are breastfeeding you will not get periods and you will not conceive. once you stop the breastfeeding than it might take 3 to 4 months for the period to appear. i breast feed my first child for 8 months and than stopped. 5 months after completely stopping the breast feeding i got periods. i have a second child too, it is very much normal

Hi i was on depo for two years. The say i got on depo my period completely stopped. I spotted a little each month but hardly. Got off of it for 5-7months and decided to get back on nov. 18. Mon. Dec.16 i started spotting wed i started having light cramps and still spotting but a lil heavier. The next two day my cramps are worse when i move they hurt to were i need to take some meds.and also im bleeding more as if im having a period. Sat. They arent so bad but they still hurt. Could it be my body reacting different from the depo? Are these just regular period signs? Ive never cramped this bad and i never bleed on the depo before?

Hi, Im 16 years old. I recently started the Depo shot in December of 2012, and automatically stopped having periods. I didn t have one in January, and when February came along I didn t get my period when I normally would either. How ever last week on February 18th I started having a small, what I thought was a period. But it was very light and not the usually color my period normally is. It was almost like a brown color. It was very light bleeding .. Really it s just been spotting. But it s been 8 days now and I m still spotting. I also noticed last night a very weird and almost foul oder. I don t know what s wrong or if this is because of depo or not. I am sexually active and keep myself clean, I ve only been with one guy.

Good evening, I m here to inquire about a problem that I ve been having trouble dealing with. I m currently on a type of birth control called a depo shot taken every 3months. Ever since then, my periods have been light but for a longer time span. There s also no more blood clots. There are times where my partner and I would preform sex and it d bleed but it s very diluted, but most of the time it s just looks like he slaughter something. It s very bloody, sometimes it bleeds out brown. There are also times where it won t bleed for up to 3-4days but then suddenly bleed out of no where. My partner and I haven t had intercourse with anyone else so it wouldn t be an STD, right? Is it a hormonal imbalance from the birth control shot? I ve been taking alot of vitamins also, does that account for anything? It s been 2weeks since my period has ended but i m still having bleeding, even without intercourse coming into play. What can I do to make this go away?

For the past 5 months I have been experiencing strange bumps and a skin rash. I first noticed it as what appeared as hives on my butt, it spread to all over my butt. After a couple months of constantly searching for an answer I went to the doctor. They said it looked like hives and could be an allergic reaction. I was prescribed a steroid cortisone cream which cleared the bumps but they returned once I stopped using it. The last month my legs have been extremely itchy with small bumps on the back of my legs. I just got another depo shot and it seemed to make it worse. There are red bumps everywhere on my lower body. Could this be due to my depo shot that I started late September?
