Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Aten ( atenolol ) is a beta blockers. You are taking this drug from last one year. Your B P is now 130/90 mm of Hg . The cause of concern is lower blood pressure i.e. 90 diastolic blood pressure. In my opinion your diastolic blood pressure is high . Dizziness is one side effect of aten -50 . In my opinion consult your treating physician and get his opinion about lower blood pressure . Otherwise get a second opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
