Numbing In The Face, Drooling, Ear Infections And Sore Throat. Tonsils Surgery Advised. Are These Related?

I have been having issues since Feb 2012. The last few weeks I have been experiencing numbing on the right side of my face and drooling (can these symptoms be attributed to my tonsils). Other symptoms in the last year are bad taste in mouth (having to get up in the middle of the night to gargle), two ear infections, clicking sound in ear, sore throat , lots of terrible tasting excess phlegm and hard to swallow.

The ENT has scheduled to have my tonsils out next month but said there are no guarantees that this will fix the problem. I am hoping this operation will help as I would like to have my life back with no pain etc.

Could all these symptoms be caused by my tonsils? Should he also be taking my adenoids out?

Please help

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
As your ENT specialist suggested, proceed with Tonsils surgery scheduled.
The symptoms mentioned are closely associated with infection due to impacted wisdom tooth in your mouth.
Please do visit a dentist and get complete oral cavity checked.
Impacted teeth if present, has to be extracted or saved depending on the position of tooth placed.
Grossly decayed teeth has to be removed.Swish with lukewarm saline frequently.
Hope this helps.
