Noticed Pain,bruise Turning Blue And Swollen Left Ankle
Been hit with a field hockey ball at very close range to the inside left ankle I am the kind of person that brushes off pain but I am concerned with how swollen and blue it s turning, have been trying to carry on with normal things but it hasn t stopped swelling. It happened about 7hrs ago. Do i need an X-ray or not. I can walk yes but it s getting uncomfortable. Thanks

My advice would be take rest, Ice fomentation, keep limb elevated and put a compression bandage (crepe bandage) along with ibuprofen and trysin to reduce pain and swelling.
If the swelling and pain persists you may require an x ray to rule out the fracture especially hair line fracture.
