Noticed Numb Ear After Waking Up. Is It A Pinched Nerves? Any Ideas?

A few hours ago I was sleeping on my couch with my head on the arm rest, and after I woke up, my left ear was numb. I figured it had gone to sleep or something of the sort, but a few hours later it still has a numb feeling. Upon various searches, I am thinking that it is a pinched nerve, but I m not too sure. Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Abnormal sensations such as numbness are usually related to abnormal structure or function of a nerve.
The numbness that you would have experienced is likely related to mild trauma to the nerve due to your sleeping position.

It should resolve on its own, this may take anywhere from a few hours to 2 to 3 days.

I hope this helps
