Noticed Mucous Discharge With Blood Clot During Periods
First off I got my tubes tied 7 years ago. I was recently at the doctor for excessive bleeding and got the whole nine yards pelvic exam, sono you name it. I am now having a bloody mucusy discharge with blood clotting during my period. What s wrong with me?
Hi, I have gone through your query and understood your concern. I will be able to comment better if you can furnish the sonogram report and any relevant history. I would like to know your menstrual history, if you are on any medication or have any infection, systemic or local and your weight. Hormonal imbalances can creep up with abnormal body weight resulting in menstrual irregularities. Polyps of the cervix and uterus also can cause heavy bleeding. Clots are formed when the blood stays for a longer time in the vagina allowing it to clot. In the current scenario, you also need to get a complete evaluation including blood counts, urinalysis, hormone profile and plan further management accordingly. Hope this helps.
