Noticed A Yellow/green After The Usage Of Tampon (at The Tip)

Gyneacological - During my period I use a tampon and most times when I remove the tampon there is a section on the tip of it which is fluro yellow/green. This does not show on the first day when my blood flow is heavier. I typically have irregular periods, lasting about 3 days, first day heavier then the other two much lighter. I have severe endometriosis and am looking into surgery for that this year. I am 40 years old with one child who is now 5. This color on the tampon has appeared since having my child. I do not know how long I have had the Endo for but I suspect decades. I mentioned it to the GP but he seems unconcerned.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
The color could be something from altered blood, infection or cervical discharge. Exact reason can only be known after a local examination, a vaginal swab, pap smear and examination of the discharge and culture if needed. Please stop using the tampon for some time and use pads instead. There may not be any relation to child birth. Please maintain genital hygiene. Please see a gynecologist for further appraisal of the situation. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
