I have come on and off my birth control for the last two months because when I stop it I get my period a few days later. This time I didn t get my period so I stopped my birth control again and never got my period but about three days ago I have lower pelvic/ abdominal pain and if my little dog steps on my lower pelvic area or even sitting and getting up it hurts. Not pregnant and still no period. Should I worry?

Hi,
As you have been irregular with your birth control pills, it is likely that you may get irregular periods, but the presence of the pain calls for medical attention. You should see a doctor and get an exam to know the source of the pain, if it is pelvic or orthopedic and get treated. You may get a serum beta-hCG test followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to be conclusive. Hope your query is answered. Take care.
