Hi,
You have not mentioned your age and you have also not mentioned at what time do not get sleep.
As age advances one gets less sleep,if you get any type of pain in the body you may get disturbed sleep,if you have got any tension and due to this you go on thinking, get worried and again you are sleeplessness.
If one has got depression he awakes very early in the morning.
So depending upon the cause treatment can be decided.
To get good sleep wear loose clothes at night, forget your worries, get fresh and prey the god and then go into the bed, read light book or news paper and go to sleep, you will definitely get good sleep.

I am having a problem with my sleep. What happens is that I get to sleep through sheer exhaustion which is the result for what I am about to tell you. My deep sleep lasts about 4 hours and then I get into s sleep where I am dreaming I am trying to resolve a problem but it never gets solved. Sometimes I am driving a car and the brake wont work (this is a common dream) but its always tense and I wak up exhausted. Now what I have noticed recently is that I am waking up from this sleep in a shock because I can t breath. I then try to setle down to get back to sleep but the same thing happens -- every time I fall drift back to sleep I get shocked awake but not be able to breathe. What I do then is give up trying to sleep anymore and have a nap late morning to catch up and also in the afternoon. In the afternoon if I sleep too long the same thing happens. I have had this happen to me in the past but not like nowadays. I had an ECG recently for something else and it showed my heart was normal. I don t know what is causing this because I don t get shortness of breath during the day. This seems to be sleep related. I am an anxious person but I don t have panic attacks. I am male and 69

Hi, my mom has been seeing her doctor about sleep apnea and she recently had a sleep study done two weeks ago and they determined that she has acute sleep apnea. A month ago she was hospitalized for a week because she was struggling to breathe. So they had her on 3 liters of oxygen and the have her on 3 liters of oxygen at home. Right now she is going through an episode of being in sleep and she can t seem to wake up. I got home from work and my brothers said she has been like this for about 3 hours. So I figured that she needed to take her diabetic medications, so I gave her those and some orange juice because from what my brother says she hasn t eaten since 10 am. I was able to get her awake for a couple of minutes and she said she feels weak, she also looks confused and drowsy. Sorry this is long but I want to make sure you have enough information as possible.

Sure, I was wondering if Nexium can effect your sleep patterns? I ve heard that Nexium can reduce magnesium levels in your body. From doing some research I ve found that it plays a role in sleep with melatonin. I ve been on this Rx for quite some time, seems to be the only medicine to control my acid reflux, & I ve noticed that I haven t been able to sleep well (no more than 2-4 solid hours). I haven t been able to sleep, it seems, for about as long as I ve been on this drug, Any ideas? Suggestions?
