Hi,
Folic acid ingestion does not help in attaining regular cycles, it only helps as a nutritional supplement. If the hCG titres are above the basal standard of 5mIU/ml, pregnancy should be suspected. A trans-vaginal sonogram and serial estimations of serum beta-hCG titres should be done. If pregnant, the titres double every 2-3 days if everything is fine with the pregnancy. The sonogram can detect a gestation sac if more than 4-5 weeks. If negative, you may induce a period with Meprate and go for further management. Hope this helps.
