No drinking water 12 hours before thyroid test for accurate result

Is it necessary that if a person want to go for the thyroid test, he or she should not consume water for 12 hours to get perfect results. plz reply

In general it is taken that there is no specific restriction about the time of thyroid hormone testing.

But there have been isolated reports stating that Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels have been recorded higher in the early morning fasting state than when taken later in the day after food.

There is no evidence to support the restriction of water before thyroid function tests.
