Newly Wedded. Irregular Period After Marriage. Will It Affect Pregnancy ?
Dear Chakravarty, we are newly married couples, we got married JAN 2013, my wife have irregular period , she had menstruation 4th - 8 th Feb and she having the cycle again from 21st Feb, previously she doesn t have suc short cycle , but after marriage this is the case , kindly help us to know better, whether its a normal problem for New couples ? , will it affect pregnancy ? please clarify us Thanks Karthick

In this context, reasons for irregular period or spotting are hormonal imbalance, stress/ anxiety, wt gain/extreme loss, irregular eating habits, psychological factor etc.
One cycle irregular spotting is nothing so important. But in persistent cases, she may require some investigations to rule out underlying pathology through USG pelvis scan, thyroid profile & other hormone assay etc. Consult with your gynecologist and take suggestive measures.
Avoid stress / anxiety by regular deep breathing, take healthy diet with vitamin & iron supplements, eat more fruits & vegetables , drink plenty water or juice and maintain genital hygiene properly.
