Secondly, any associate symptoms like fever? If not, its ok. Particular changes in the eyes especially of the new born deserve a clinical examination, especially from the pediatrician to rule out especially a post natal eye infection called opthalmia neonatorum and some eye tumours. It could be worth consulting your pediatrician for this. However, most red, painless post natal reddish spots on th eyes of infants, usually sub mild post traumatic sub conjontival hemorrage usually fade away within a week or so without any sequel. If you noticed this immediately after birth, and you started giving the eye drop as prescribed, immediately after birth, you need not worry. If otherwise, you might need to consult your pediatrician.
