Neonate In Incubator With Birth Injury And Giving Dextrose And Normal Saline. What Is The Right Treatment?

hi , i asking about neonatal nutrition IV in 1st few days if the neonate have birth injury and also asking when admitted it was given dextrose 10% 270ml per day plus70 ml normal saline the neonate in incubator and it is weight 2900 gram. what the right treatment in this condition?

I understand your concern.

In neonates fluid management in first few days of life depends on various factors first is clinical condition of baby, hemodynamic stability, day of life, gestation age, mean arterial pressures, hydration status, cardiac status and other clinical parameters so it vary from baby to baby and health center guidelines , its hard to comment on fluid in this case . They might have giving baby correct fluids based on clinical assessment.
