I feel needle prick type pain on my legs ,thigh ,areas of knee .

Get your Diabetes & Serum B 12 checked. If there is Back pain also get X rays.
This can be done in any good lab. Don't neglect such pain. It is usually due to nerve inflammation. Had you Herpes Virus infection ever in past ?
