I visited a popular eye clinic which has multiple branches all over. The practioner told me that for my age (26) my power is high and was surprised.
Took various tests and told that the equipment shows my power as greater than +5 but I accept a lesser power +2. I am not sure about the difference, the equipment says one power and from their test I had accepted to see clearly with a lesser power (using glasses)
The prescription they said was
+1.75 -0.25 30 +2.... I dont remember exactly but I understand the prescription is similar way of representing the prescription mentioned in a few lines below.
With my parents guidance, I visited our personal Ophthalmologist (25+ experience) and the prescription she gave was,
+0.75 +1 20 +1 +0.75 155
I have been using this (glasses) for more than a year and have not had a problem. Three months back I went for a regular checkup with her and my power has not changed noticeably. Only the axis changed.

I wanted to change to contact lenses from glasses so I visited another popular clinic (which also sells contact lens and has various branches). they said my power is high (+6.75) and are not sure how I manage without any problem.
They had asked me come again tomorrow for a fresh test as they wanted to confirm such high power for my age 26.

I am very much confused and worried. What should I do and whom to follow? Please help.
Also would my power increase if I don't use glasses all the time. I use it for 10 hours a day when using laptop and at other times when i watch TV.
