Need Treatment For Chest Pain With A History Of Pulmonary Embolism

I have had a chesty cough for 6 weeks with 3 separate bouts, the current one has lasted 3 weeks. I have had a severe pain in my chest under my right breast for 5 days now, which is worse when I lay down, breath in and cough. I had a pulmonary embolism 18 months ago after a hysterectomy and it feels quite similar.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Pulmonary embolism can recur. It can also cause Pulmonary infarction.
And both of them cause similar symptoms like chest pain, cough, breathlessness etc.
So in my opinion, you should definitely consult pulmonologist and get done CT Pulmonary Angiography for the diagnosis of Pulmonary embolism and infarction.
It will also diagnose if lung infection is there.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
