General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Your son was a patient of typhoid fever and took macpod ( cepodoxime ) 200 mg for one month . Now he is having loss of appetite , nausea , vomiting.
The cause of these symptoms may be fever in itself, drugs ( macpod 200 mg for one month may cause hyper acidity and nausea , so vomiting) used in the treatment for fever.
Now loss of appetite , nausea and weakness and vomiting.
When such type of patient visit I usually prescribe them Buclizine hydrochloride syrup 2 tsf before meal twice in day. Antacid ( if oxetacaine good ) two or three times in day ( 10 ml).
Protein powder 2 tsf two times in day for 10-15 days.
The main reason of such symptoms are nausea caused by hyper acidity but if symptoms are sever then intravenous Ringer lactate also advised.
Hope this information will help.
Good luck.
