Need Medication For Sinus Drainage & Headache

I have had a sore throat that is gone now but I have sinus drainage and a headache. I woke up today with one eye full of white goop. It kept coming back for a couple hours and now it is gone but my eye is tired, sore and red. Could this be pink eye or something that is going along with my cold or allergies.

Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

Your symptoms may be caused by a sinus infection ( bacterial or fungal) or an allergic reaction. The white good in your eye may be caused by a bacterial infection of the eye.

I recommend you to consult with the ENT specialist and perform a routine blood test, a sinus xray and a sinus discharge culture, to establish the diagnosis.

An ophtalmologic consult would also be very helpful, to exclude an infection.

Hope to have been of help!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
