Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the
semen analysis is as follows:
The physical characters- semen volume of 4 ml, grey white color, alkaline pH are within normal limits.
Partial liquefaction at 1 hour is not normal since complete liquefaction should occur at 1 hour.
Inability to show complete liquefaction suggests deficient prostatic secretion since prostatic secretions are responsible for liquefaction.
The
sperm count should be at least 20 million / ml.
In your case the sperm count is also within normal limits.
Motility- atleast 40% sperms should show progressive motion according to WHO criteria.
In your case 65% sperms are showing progressive motion.
Atleast 56% sperms should have normal morphology which is normal in your case.
Presence of leukocytes/ pus cells suggests infection.
Thus, you need to consult your doctor with the report for prescription of antibiotic.
Absence of red blood cell,
epithelial cells is a normal finding.
Absence of bacteria, AFB is also within normal limits.
For giving any opinion on semen sample, infection has to be controlled.
Thus, complete the course of antibiotic and then get the semen analysis repeated after 2-3- weeks with 3 days of abstinence.
No opinion can be given in presence of infection.
Thanks and take care
