Neck Has Been Stiff, Feeling To Have Flu, Body Aches And Nausea. Suggest?

Hi, I am a 21 yr. old female and I haven't felt "good" for about a month, but the past 3 days my neck has been feeling stiff. I felt like I was getting the flu a week and a half ago. I think I have been running a fever but I just moved out on my own and do not own a thermometer yet. My body aches and I feel nauseated all of the time.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some infection either viral or bacterial.
Usually urinary tract infection is common among females.
go for urine check up.
After report go for treatment accordingly.
If viral infection is there, it will be alright gradually.
Meanwhile take analgesic medicnie as and when required.
Take plenty of water and light diet.
Ok and take care.

Radiologist Dr. Indu Kumar's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

You need to consult a doctor immediately and get evaluated for your condition. You have not mentioned about loss of appetite, tiredness and fever. You might be having an infection which needs clinical examination and investigations like blood tests. It is difficult to say any one particular illness at the moment.

You might need to get you hemoglobin, total count, differential count and ESR done in blood tests and any other specific tests for infection as felt necessary by your doctor. Ultrasound scan and Chest X ray may also be necessary.

Hope this helps.
