Nausea, Fatigue, Dizziness, Headaches, Light Period, Tender Breasts. On Trinessa. Pregnancy Tests Negative. Suggestions?

I've had three negative home pregnancy tests, I'm on birth control pills. (Trinessa) Around the end of February I was not as diligent about taking my pills on time. My period was brown and pink for the first three days, then I started feeling nauseated, everything made me gag and I began to have lots of fatigue and dizziness followed by headaches. I have had my period since, but it's not as heavy as I normally have. My breasts are extremely tender, I've lost my appetite but yet have gained three pounds since the beginning of March. I keep feeling something gurgling, and kicking around in my right side lower abdomen. I've had a phantom pregnancy before, but this feels more than just a phantom feeling. This feels very much like a pregnancy, but I keep testing negative. What else could it be? IBS? Cealic Disease? Uterine Cancer?

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Considering the fact that you have had three negative pregnancy tests and that you are also having your periods, the possibility of pregnancy is ruled out. Moreover, your symptoms such as tender breasts, nausea, weight gain, kicking sensation in the abdomen, etc. are non-specific signs which are not definitive of pregnancy. It is quite possible that these symptoms could be indicative of a "pseudocyesis or a false pregnancy. However other possible medical conditions need to be ruled out.

So, I suggest that you see a doctor in person for a detailed examination and evaluation to ascertain the cause for your symptoms. Till then it is better not to speculate about different possibilities and get worried unnecessarily.

Wish you all the best.

Dr. Sheeba Stephen
