Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
your grandson has generalized epilepsy for which antiepeileptic drugs has been started, while on these drugs he is still having seizure.

It means dose of drug should be increased to control seizure as the dose is insufficient thats why child is throwing seizure

Consult pediatrician /Neurologist for adjustment of dosages. Child also require MRI brain and EEG if it is not done

Decrease sleep is not the side effects of neither eptoin nor lamotrigine, instead on higher doses they produce increased sleep.

Child should be started on same drug and dose to be increased or third drug to be added like lobazam to control seizure.

Hope this will help you
