My wife was diagnosed with NMO in July 2018. Will be starting physical therapy on Oct 1, 2018.
She is currently experiencing severe tingling sensation in right leg accompanied by severe cramping in right thigh and toes on right foot [toes try to tangle up]--and pain is severe. When these symptoms arise in the right leg, she gets a severe burning symptom in her left leg--accompanied by much pressure and tight ness in her abdomen.

Is there a way to alleviate these problems? I am massaging these areas and it sometimes helps?

My wife had a psychotic episode this summer. I finally got her hospitalized after 2 months. She was 39 years old at the time. She was given risperidol but this caused elevated prolactin ( breast milk and periods stopped). She was switched to Zyprexa and she became tired all the time with falt affect and sleeping 16 ours a day. She developed diabetes and was hopsitalized for ketoacidosis . Now she is on haldol and tired all the time. My question is: could the the psychosis have been caused by hormones/menopause? She still has not had a period in the past 5 months. She has been diagnosed paranoid schophrenia. I doubt this dx due to the late onset and the fact that all the meds make her tired.

I was diagnosed with PTSD upon returning to the states from Afghanistan. Can my wife be a factor by bringing up her past constantly. It drives me nuts and I am going to Loma Linda VA in CA. for one and one treatment but she drives me nuts about her past, I am thinking about seperating from her for a while! I want to get better for all of us, or is the wife exonerrated from this torment-these feelings I get and I wish I was back in Afghanistan
