HELLO
As a homeopath i will say no for surgery.yes homeo medicine will solve your overall problem.and your overweight and your takin hormonal treatment(which is the only option)Novelon may cause a number of side effects depending on the particular individual and dose size.
Although many users of this medication have experienced no or minor side effects, the use of Novelon may lead to the following common side effects: weight changes, headaches, dizziness, nausea, breast tenderness and enlargement, stomach cramps, appetite changes, vomiting, and vaginal spotting. Though common, these side effects can become more serious if one or several intensify or persist. In such an event, seek immediate medical attention.
A hysterectomy is surgical removal of the uterus. Because the hormone levels are altered after a hysterectomy, side effects similar to menopause may occur.
insomnia, weight gain, fatigue those are some common side effects of surgery.
now its upto you to choose a safe path for better and healthy life.
good luck

do the ovaries still release a normal set of hormones after hysterectomy and how long does it take the body to adjust? I am six weeks post op. I had a total hysterectomy, uterus and cervix removed, due to very low iron levels. I notice when it would be that time of the month, my breasts would be very sore. this never happened before the surgery.

I am 44 yrs old my ultra sound result says that I have an anteverted uterus measuring 4.8x6.1x5.0cm with irregular contour and heterogenous echopattern (cervix 3.0x1.9x1.9) the endometrium is hyperechoic and smooth 0.39 thick. The sub endometrial halo is intact there are atleast 2 myometrial lesions seen M1-2.6x3.0x2.5cm intramural with less than 10% mucus. anterofundal M2-2.0x1.8x1.9cm intramural with subserous component posterior midcorpus. The right ovary measures 1.63x0.93x2.03cm with no follicles seen. left ovary measures 2.43x1.52x2.75cm with 2 follicles measuring 1.37 and 0.46cm the cul-de-sac is smooth with no fluid noted.. they told me to have a hysterectomy as I have a heavy bleeding, is it necessary or is there any other option aside from hysterectomy.. I ve been real sick with migraines and abdominal pain went to the e.r and had tests done the blood tests came back positive for pregnancy? I went back 2days later to have my levels checked they were lower now they want to do a MRI! Could I have a tumor in my head that s what they think triggered the test to come out positive??

I am getting a uterine biopsy soon and have a very low tolerance for pain. I have never had children and my cervix is tight. I am 59 years old. I was give Cytotec to take the night before. I understand this can cause severe cramping. When I did get my period before menopause the cramps were severe - I had to take heavy doses of Advil 5 days BEFORE it started and then Darvon on the first 2 days. I thought for the biopsy I would take Mobic 5 days before and then Percocet a hour before the biopsy ( I have discussed this with my dr.) Any other suggestions? I am a wreck! Thank you!
