My teenage daughter is a competitive cross country runner. She complains of a lot of pain whenever it is hot outside when she races. This is in spite of being hydrated fairly well. However, when the weather is cool or even cold, she totally excels at it and it doesn’t bother her at all. Any thoughts? Almost acts like her kidneys do not like the extreme heat.

My son is 15 years old. He is 5 10 1/2 and weighs 138 pounds. He is a cross country runner on a HS team. He was experiencing severe pain and his family Dr. did X-rays. The results are: mild scoliosis and mild straigtening of the lumbar . What is the treatment for this? Should he continue to run? What are the long term effects of this condition?

My 13 year old daughter has been complaining of tail bone pain. She is very athletic...just finished playing school volleyball and running cross country. She cannot remember injuring it. She is currently in off season athletics where the do workouts on a hard surface. I think this may be the cause, but not sure.
