Childhood epilepsy is very common, with treatment it can be controlled. Many patients have to take medicines for the whole life. But the ancient indian medicine does have a cure. The boy has to take all the alopathic medicine, but he may practice ANULOM BILOM for 30 minutes in the morning. There are also some ayrvedic medicines to be taken regularly. If things improve, he may stop all the medicine.

It would be advisable to see a neurologist with experience in child cases for your son.

MY DAUGHTER ,23 ,SUDDENLY STARTED EPILEPSY IN 2013 OCTOBER without any previous history. the epilepsy attack comes only during night or early mornings while she is asleep. Starts with unnatural shirk or lound sound like wailing .it lasts 15 to 40 seconds with saliva coming out. Then she goes back to sleep with snoring. In the morning she has no clue if she had suffered . So far she had 7 epilepsy attacks or seizure always in sleep (only one each every occassion) . two occasions it was on subsequent nights. HER EEG, MRI CONTRAST reports and thyroid test were all normal in October 2013 after first occurrence. I do not have reports with me right now. ALSO PLS TELL THE CHARGES FIRST BEFORE ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS. I HAVE TO SEE IF I CAN AFFORD THAT. THIS IS IMPORTANT PLS. I want to know if it is curable? duration of the treatment and its side effects? can a person manage without treatment? and will it affect her studies , job career etc in future or normal or married life etc

When I was a boy I used to wet the bed, and my doctor gave me tofranil to try to stop this 4 week after taking these I had a seizure, my mother asked the doctor if it could be the tablets that he had put me on, the doc said no they are safe and don t have side effects, she had her doubts but back then you never questioned a doctors word, but she still stopped me taking them, I then had another seizure so the doctor referred me to the hospital and they put me on epilin 200 for a few years and put this down in my notes as childhood epilepsy and I have just had to deal with it but as life as gone on more applications and things have asked the question about childhood epilepsy like I wanted to fly helicopters and other job application it was when it came to my life insurance that I asked more about it to my mother and looked in to the tablets and the tablets came with a side effects list longer than both my arms and in this list was seizures I have had this round my neck all my life and am now wanting to become a commercial diver but onces again no go because the question as come up I am prepared to take any tests that would prove it was the tablets but more than anything I want my medical history changing I hope someone can take this case on as it as destroyed my life oh and there was never any tests done EEG MRI nothing I have read up on fits as a child and it states that you boys are more likely to have them than girls and can have them when they have a fever chances of having another are 20-30% but this does still mean they are epileptic

For about a year, my son has been having bouts where he's still sleeping, but is profusely sweating, drooling, sounding like he's choking and when his eyes do open, he is seemingly in pain, does not know what he is doing, talks but it is slurred and it lasts for 30 minutes. He doesn't remember any of it when he comes out of it. He is then nauseous for 3 days. It is happening once a month, every month. Doctors have checked blood sugars, the brain, the heart. They can find nothing
