Psychiatrist 's  Response
Information about your sister's symptoms are not much helpful to me. You say she remains OK inbetween the attacks, she shows split personality Behaviour ?, does not talk normally, crys most of the time & realises that her mind is confused. Though not very clear but most probably it goes in favour of Affective type of mental problem because in Old Psychotic case [? Schizophrenia], Client usually lacks Insight which your sister still understand her problem. You need help of Psychiatrist either by direct consultation or chating may be helpful to know her problems in details. I feel she should be cured.

It is lucky if some Doctor really sees this and helps you with real answer. Of the hundreds of the messages I post here, I get few expert answers and few do not. We should also consider the fact that which Doctor has so much of time to answer the Queries for free all the time.

I think you are missing the right follow ups with the Psychologist. Most of the times the mental problems bother of lack of education to the relatives or care takers. This is a best site for education you can speak to a Doctor 24/7, it awesome most of the times. Though I found the Doctors are helpless on chat when it comes to certain issues where we have to see them physically.

My 17 1/2 year old son was placed on Invega. For awhile he did well; then he missed a few doses. When we resumed his proper dosing, he has started with severe side effects (I think of this drug) like restlessness, hallucinations, fantasies, cannot sleep, headache...very very severe. He calls his mother Mrs. Leno and his father Jay Leno...the doctor just says keep trying ...we re scared and frustrated. Please advise

I have been suffering from an extreme pressure feeling in my head for almost a year now. It is concentrated at the top of my head, forehead, eyes, and the top of my nose. The pressure feeling originated during an episode of psychosis and has not left since, even though I have long since recovered from the psychosis. Prior to my psychosis, I had been a heavy cannabis user. I stopped immediately with the psychosis and have not used it since (never again). I used to have some minor sinus issues due to heavy smoking, and I understand a sinus infection can cause pressure in the head, but this would of course be a very long lasting sinus infection. To elaborate, I would have to clear my nose each morning and sometimes more frequently throughout the day back when I smoked. I quit smoking cigarettes too about seven months ago. The pressure feeling in my head started at the onset of my psychosis, prior to any medications. It has also lasted long after any medications. The original onset of the pressure feeling was unbearable with my head pounding and feeling like it was going to explode. The pressure feeling has taken my life away to the point where nothing is enjoyable, working is torture (I am a CPA), and basic tasks like cooking and laundry are something to dread for me. I have tried pain relievers, sinus medication / antibiotics, excercise, a healthy diet, proper sleep, spending months in a stress free environment, and had an MRI (nothing noted). The pressure feeling has remained an all day, every day, thing. I have had only brief moments lasting a few hours on a handful of days where I have not been suffering much.
