if you are really fit you can have a resting rate of 50 bpm with no problems, as long as your blood pressure is normal.

For human biology i'm doing an investigation of cardiovascular health in teenagers. We got 2 active and 2 inactive teenagers to do 10 step ups and we recorded their heart rate after. Both active teenagers had a much lower resting heart rate but had a much higher increase in their heart rate after the step ups than the inactive teens. Any explanations

I am a 30 year old female. I work out 5 times a week: cardio, strength and yoga. I recently went to the doctor and my heart rate was 92 bpm. I have been checking it periodically and it's always between 84 and 96. My mother told me that she has always had the same thing and her heart rate did not slow until she got older. Could it be genetic or should I be worried?

I'm a 26 year old man who is admittedly out of shape. For about the past 24 hours I have been feeling discomfort in my heart, about the time I had an argument with a spouse. We have since resolved the issue, but I still feel the discomfort in my heart. Using a stethoscope I have I recorded my heart rate at 78 beats per minute, but it seems to speed up and slow down inconsistently. I take no medication. I'd like o figure out what this is and how to fix it.
