My mother was operated and have hip replaced on her

My mother was operated and have hip replaced on her left side almost 1 year apart from her her hip replaced on of her left hip.
Our problem is the slow healing of the left hip operation, the would open. It heals and for the 2nd time it open again in the different part of the existing wound. She is now 90 years old.
Does she have to take oral medicine or any ointment/medication for the wound. She is also suffering from rheumatism, resulting sleepless nights and her having also anemia. During nighttime she frequents the bathroom. She doesn't like wearing adult pampers
I hope you can give any solution to this problem.

Thank you...

My 76 year old mother fell and broke her hip in early November. She then suffered a stroke right after her hip replacement surgery. She didn t begin physical therapy right away and didn t do well with the physical therapy when she started. She can t hardly get around now and her legs are very weak. She has fallen in my home at least 4 times and she was using the walker. She is seeing a stroke doctor next week, but my main concern is that I may not be recognizing any other stroke related issues when she falls...how do I know if she might be having another stroke?

My left hip was totally repalced in June 2013. The oldf hip was in pieces when removed. since the operation I have been having pain form the new hip to to the knee - like sharp pain in the left knne and someimes minor pain it the right knee at the same time. An MRI indocates that the L3rd vertabrae is tiltied to the L4th vertabrae. Also, there is either pain or numbness in the bone , nerve or muscle between the hip and knee. Since the pain is sharp, I assume that it is a nerve issue. - perhaps from the vetabrae.
