Is Nausea A Common Symptom After Having Undergone Mohs Surgery?

My mother age 84 was complaining that she thought she was having circulation problem because her legs felt weak and she felt like she was going to fall. She was on plavix until 3 weeks ago but had to stop the medication because she was having mohs surgery on her forehead yesterday. This evening she suddenly got diahrea and felt nauseous. She eventually threw up clear with some mucous no food. She is now asleep. Should I let her stay asleep or try to take her to the ER?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be side effects of sedatives and pain killers.
Surgery as such does not cause vomiting.
As a first line management you can take antiemetic like domperidone for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
