My mom needs triple bypass surgery. I am so scared.

My Dad had open heart surgery 20 years ago, the same surgeon that will be doing my Moms. Dad did not make it, he had an anarysm that ruptured and killed him. It is just so scary, Mom having open heart surgery 20 years later with the same surgeon. I am so scared.

dont worry, whenever a patient dies a panel looks over the case and judges what the surgeon did in surgery and if he were to found to have made any mistakes, he wouldnt have a license anymore. there is always a risk in surgery and an aneurysm isnt too uncommon. still, the chances of her being treated far outweigh the risks

My 76 year old father had a triple bypass; he s also a diabetic. The surgery was a success, but he s still in the hospital 8-days after surgery... His appetite is very little and he s not having bowel movements. Is this normal? He s not doing his breathing treatments (as often as he should) -- nor is he walking (unless my mom comes to the hospital). Maybe he s depressed or scared. Never been in the hospital before. Sad... Please advise.

I am 47 years old, 4 years ago I had a triple bypass and a ventricular septile defect closed. Since then I have had to get eye glasses (never needed them before) anyway everything has gone down hill since then. I m only taking crestor, tricore and vitamins; C, omega3 fish oil, and a multi. I m kind of scared to try cialis, would it be OK for me to take?

Hello, I am a 39 year old female. I received my second ever kenalog shot for allergies over a week ago. The one previous was a year prior to that. In the past 3 days I have been experiencing heart palpitaions the entire day and night. I have had palpiations for years now, but only once in a while. The palpitions I am now experiencing are continuous. I had been tested about five years ago and was told I had tricuspid and mitral valve regurgitation. Several years later a different doctor sent me for testing and it showed no regurgitation. It doesnt make sense to me. My question is do you think it is possible the palpitations are caused by the kenalog? I was put back on Singulair as well but stopped taking it to see if that was the culprit. I am uneasy with this feeling and it is stressing me out more so worrying about it. Thank you in advance.

My 89 year old father just had a triple bypass and valve replacement. He lost kidney function after the surgery. They are now wanting him to go to a long term acute center, I m guessing because his heart rate registers low in the upper 40 s to mid 50 s. how long can I expect him to last on dialysis
