My husband suffered extreme stomach pain which radiated upward, profuse sweating, light-headed. Is it heart attack?

My husband thinks he had a heart attack last night while I was at work.He suffered extreme stomach pain which radiated upward, profuse sweating, light-headedness. He tried to reach me at work and the fools didn t tell me I got a call. My husband just says he feels strange today? I can t get him to go to a doctor NOW. What does one feel AFTER an attack? What should I look for?

You have to bring you hubby to the hospital ASAP to have him checked out and probably admitted. He is at a high risk for having another heart attack, and developing serious complications from the first one.

My niece is 40 yrs old, ex smoker (5 years or so) non drinker who is slim, as a matter of fact has always had trouble gaining weight. She has 3 children and works in child care full time. She suffers from a condition called Stargardts disease (macular degeneration). She has asthma and has had pneumonia in the past 3 years or so. She got out of bed two nights ago, greeted her son who had just arrived home, went to the fridge to get a drink, turned out the kitchen light and fainted. She said that she had only fainted once before (during her second pregnancy) and she felt it coming but this time she had absolutely no warning at all. She went straight back to bed and noted that she was sweating profusely all over her body from head to toe. She did remark to me a few days prior, that she has been tired of late. My mother (my nieces maternal grandmother) died from a brain tumour at the age of 35 and my brother and father (her uncle and grandfather) both died from massive heart attacks. My brother was only 39 but he was a chronic alcoholic. My father was 68 when he died. My second brother died at age 45 from diabetic shock. He was also a chronic alcoholic though. My niece s father died last year from liver cancer, her mother ( my sister) is a very healthy 62 year old, not on any medication. Her doctor is sending her for blood tests, an ECG and a CAT Scan. She is obviously worried about Cancer and Heart disease. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you, Karen Walker.

have something no one can figure out. bloody stool couple times. had upper & lower GI, benign polyps removed. No normal stools like EVER. they re chewed up looking & nasty. hiatal hernia; positive auto-immune disease results; non-obstructive kidney stone (which is crazy for someone who drinks as much water as I do & have for 20 years.) Liver biopsy showed inflamed liver with mild scarring and no cancer. ER hospital after profuse sweating for 5 days, short of breath, abdominal pain, rapid heart rate. hospital found bacteria, but couldn t find origin. kept me overnight, hydrated me & discharged next day. Abdominal distention started low, then crept up to liver so entire stomach looks like I m pregnant. ob/gyn said he found yeast, couldn t tell where it was coming from. diagnosed me w/ garderella vaginalis. also had pelvic-type contractions & stabbing pains in lower left ovary - these symptoms have stopped. newest symptoms are red rash/splotches all over body, brownish liver spots appearing here and there. & now bulging veins on my hands and just found one below knee by shin TODAY. number one biggest symptom is EXTREME FATIGUE. general malaise. headaches, stomach pain on & off, bloating on and off, feel feverish, but never high fever. believe hep panel has been ruled out. negative for H-pylori. negative for strange things like carotid pain in neck one day. had low thyroid blood test result once. eGFR blood test low once. Strange nest of constant pain under left breast area. no matter what else is going on, this is always a source of pain. Had pelvic & abdominal ultrasound (external & internal) & EVERY SINGLE BODY PART WAS SORE TO THE TOUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!! I M SPENT. TIRED OF BEING SICK & TIRED WITH NO DIAGNOSIS & NEW SYMPTOMS EVERYDAY. Feel like doctors are treating symptoms & not looking at ENTIRE picture. (actually kidney doctor who released me from hospital said she believes ALL symptoms to be related). I m to followup with her next. any/all suggestions, ideas would be appreciated. my quality of life has diminished. ALL OF THIS STARTED MID-JANUARY. NEVER HAD KIDNEY STONE, HIATAL HERNIA, ANYTHING BEFORE JANUARY OF THIS YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend has told me ( he is 82) that when he lies down on his right side his chest hurts. I noticed his shortness of breath two nights ago when we had to walk about 200 yards to a ball park. He is complaining of indigestion- 2 days now. He has had a stent for 10 years, otherwise is in good health. Last night he did not sleep well. He does not feel it is a heart problem as he saw his cardiologist 3 months ago and was dealing with just some high BP-= 130/90

Hi there. I am a 35 year old female 5'7 155 lbs with a 7 month old baby delivered by cesarean. I have had shortness of breath that worsens with physical exertion since the last month of my pregnancy but am otherwise in good health. The last 2 months it has been getting progressively worse to the point where I have to catch my breath sometimes in conversation. I am taking domperidone to increase my breastmilk production and have been for 2 months. I have been to the ER where I have had an ECG, ct scan, x-ray and bloodwork, as well as a pulmonary function test. All results were within normal ranges except my oxygen levels in my blood were low - however the test was taken peripherally, not through a central line. Also, my resting heart rate was 118, and when I did a stress test, within 2 minutes my heart rate was at 200. They are sending me for an echocardiogram next. Do you think this could be adult onset asthma or a reaction to domperidone or is it my heart?

I've had many CAT scans and heart moniters in the past to find out if there are any coronary issues. All thats been found is SVT. Sometimes it's better than others but on a more frequent basis my heart seems to pound pretty hard. The actual lub beat feels like it's going to pound out of my chest and I'm just sitting down. Many times this leads to panic and shortness of breath. I've been told there is nothing I can do about it. Does this mean I have a higher probability of heart failure? How can I control my heart pace? Are there any techniques other than breath control?
