Hi Julie, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
He is indeed suffering from Alcohol Intoxication which is the consequence of drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. Drinking too much too quickly can affect breathing, heart rate, cause nausea and vomiting. He needs immediate medical attention as he is losing body fluids, call for emergency medical help right away. Until the help arrives keep him sit up and try to keep him awake to prevent loss of consciousness.

Good Luck.

My husband is a healthy 47 year old male, non-smoker and this evening had 3-4 mixed drinks before supper with his folks and during supper he left the table and has been throwing up for over an hour and a half. He says he has never experienced anything quite like this. Could there be any thing I should be concerned about or just attribute it to the alcohol or a flu bug?? I m just a little concerned as this has never happened to him to this severity before. Any ideas??

My 16 yo daughter has been involuntary throwing up every thing she consumes for the past 3 months. Almost as soon as she eats and continues until her stomach has nothing left . She has had all tests possible with a gastroenterologist, including barium swallow , gastroscopy , ultrasound , and blood tests and been in hospital where they cannot help . They decided it was due to anxiety , so we sought therapy for her Where they pointed out her ADD was worse than we thought . ( never was treated ) , though said she does not have an eating disorder , but maybe she has conversion disorder . They directed us to a psychiatrist , who put her case forward to a meeting of 10 psychiatrists who feel it does it add up . They decided she should try Xanax to treat the anxiety , as if that was the cause , the vomiting may stop or possibly be less often . Then they tried another anxiety drug but both didn’t work . They are convinced there is something physical that has been missed . Currently she has been given an anti depressant mirtizapine , which has a connection in helping to stop vomiting . She is trying this for a week at least , but so far after 3 days she is not feeling great and the vomiting continues . It seems she is a medical mystery . Can anyone help or suggest what to do ?

Good day, We went out on Saturday night, had a couple of drinks. Sunday morning from about 4am I started vomiting. I slept for a couple of hours and started to vomit again. I ve never in my life vomited to badly and so much. I couldn t even keep a sip of water in. It eventually stopped around 2pm. But now I have serve burning pain in my upper abdominal after eating. And a very sore and uncomfortable feeling at the top of my stomach (top of my ribcage). The burning pain in my stomach comes and goes. I am scared it is an ulcer or maybe a hernia? Any advice would help. Regards Celicia.

Hi, My wife had a dermoyd cyst removed a few year ago and with it her left ovary. Every since then, she has had a really hard time during her period. Lately, she has experienced a rapid heart rate. She is 23 years old and 105lbs. Generally healthy but she is a smoker. She rarely drinks alcohol and doesn't do any drugs. Her water intake is good as is her diet. She doesn't feel any stress, although, our life is rather stressful. She is anemic and has low blood pressure and her heart rate averages around 100bpm during her period. Is this something we should worry about?
