My husband has a history perforated ear drums, hearing loss, leaky ears since childhood. Oto Doc told him ear drums are scarred. In January this year left side of his face became paralyzed and they said mastoiditis and he was admitted to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for 4 days on broad spectrum antibiotics. Now over the summer he has had blurry vision that got better after 3 months. This morning he woke up blurry again and hit our shed with the car. Very unusual for him. Could this be mastoiditis again or tia? He also has history of TBI at least 3-4.

I am in the Navy, and i have hearing loss in my left ear. This occurred roughly after boot camp. A fellow sailor yelled in my ear as i slept. And i heard a ringing for the next two weeks. Then from then on, i cant remember where i aquired the hearing loss. However, if i plug my nose and blow with my mouth shut, my left ear pops open and i can temporarily hear again. Do you think it could possibly be a ruptured ear drunk? Or just gunk built up behind the ear drum in the Eustachian Tube? I feel that my right side is less bulging than the left. So i might be led to think that. I had my tonsoles and adbnoids removed when i was younger and tubes had to be put in my ears. Do you think i need tubes again?

I cant hear anything and I just went to a doctor and she had said that she sees white stuff in my ear, blocking my ear drum, and I cant really hear as well, and Ive had ear infections for the past month. I am also taking amoxicillin and ibprohen for pain. Why cant I hear? she also tried scraping out the stuff with a plastic hook stick but the pain was too bad and now im being sent to an ENT.What can I do to help me hear again?
