This morning, after working 3rd shift, I had my blood pressure taken. It was 142 over 89, I think. Either way the nurse was concerned. I just tested my blood pressure at home with a Reli On automatic blood pressure tester and it said my blood pressure was 123/74. That is normal correct? What would cause the major swing. Machine vs Human? I am 40 years old and have never been told I have high blood pressure. It doesn t run in my family either. I am in good shape and eat fairly well. Sleeping is an issue being a third shifter and having 4 kids and a wife:)

Hello Dr. Samuel, I am currently on 20 MG of Lisinopril per day. I started at this dosage at 284 and now after 18 months, I am 244 and running every other day. BP is down from 180 over 100 to current rate of low 120/60-70.some days 90/60. What happens if I discontinue Lisinopril and how would one go about dropping this as when working out 7 days a week--I can get BP to I see 90/50 and that seems a bit low to me.

In a recent medical exam, my BP was 142/92 and my pulse rate was 63. My SpO2 was measured twice (three minutes apart) and went from 96% to 93%. I had no medical history to report to the doctor. I was basically starting fresh with my healthcare. She said my vitals were normal and stable. She said my BP was likely due to my back pain (that led to the visit in the first place). But if my pressure was high, why was my rate low?? And, what is the significance of the drop in SpO2? Thanks.

I have a rash in my groin and my body is always itchy. For about 2 years I had rashes on both my feet. It seems to have cleared now but I still have to apply dipresone everyday. I take medication for high blood pressure - Micardi Plus, Zanidip and Spiractin. Are any of these causing my rash problems?
