My heart rate goes up and down

I am 37 years old. My normal resting heart rate is about 126. I was at the doctor yesterday and it was 138.? I have had stress tests and such. All fine. Is this just normal? I have been as high as 178 before.

A normal heart rate is considered to be 60-100 beats per minute, but there are lots of people that are much slower and faster that can be considered normal as well. Sometimes, but not always they'll put you on medication to slow ya down a little bit. If you've been evaluated by a doctor, and your rhythm is a normal rhythm, then you're probably okay. If you continue to be concerned, or have chest pain, dizziness, fainting or near fainting spells, then I'd ask for a referral to a cardiologist or request to wear a monitor to be evaluated further. Hope this helps.

I usually have a low bpm usually in the 60s. I have noticed in the last few days that my heart beats feel funny/ inconsistent. It s not all the time but it s getting a little more frequent. I have a bpm monitor so I ve been monitoring myself today. When I feel the inconsistent beat my bpm goes down to around 35 bpm give or take and then a few minutes later it shoots up to around 78 bpm. A few minutes after that it goes back to around 65-68 which is normal for me. Should I seek medical attention ASAP?

Hi, My wife had a dermoyd cyst removed a few year ago and with it her left ovary. Every since then, she has had a really hard time during her period. Lately, she has experienced a rapid heart rate. She is 23 years old and 105lbs. Generally healthy but she is a smoker. She rarely drinks alcohol and doesn't do any drugs. Her water intake is good as is her diet. She doesn't feel any stress, although, our life is rather stressful. She is anemic and has low blood pressure and her heart rate averages around 100bpm during her period. Is this something we should worry about?

I have had a thudding heartbeat for two days, off and on, mostly on. Also accompanied by shortness of breath. The heartbeat isn't fast or irregular, but I can feel it, like it's heavy in my chest. I've had this before a few years ago, and my doctor thought it was anxiety and wanted to out me on an anti anxiety drug, but I felt like it was a physical issue instead of anxiety. I have low stress, not usually anxious, work out a few times a week, non smoker (for 5 years) recently lost about 35 lbs (1-1/2 years ago) Could this be allergies?
