im guessing it probably feels like your heart is doing a flip or it feels like it beats twice, pauses for a second then starts back up again. most likely youre getting PVCs (premature ventricular contractions). theyre usually harmless (but scary and annoying) in most people and lots of people get them from time to time but you should probably see the doctor just to be on the safe side, especially if you have a history of heart problems. i literally get thousands of them a day which kinda sucks. you can get drugs (beta blockers) that help reduce them if they really bother you a lot. in the mean time until you see a doc, like i said they really freak you out but they are harmless in most people. its good to see the doctor 1) to make sure there isnt something serious wrong and 2) when he tells you that they are harmless you get a sense of closure and they dont scare you as much
