im guessing it probably feels like your heart is doing a flip or it feels like it beats twice, pauses for a second then starts back up again. most likely youre getting PVCs (premature ventricular contractions). theyre usually harmless (but scary and annoying) in most people and lots of people get them from time to time but you should probably see the doctor just to be on the safe side, especially if you have a history of heart problems. i literally get thousands of them a day which kinda sucks. you can get drugs (beta blockers) that help reduce them if they really bother you a lot. in the mean time until you see a doc, like i said they really freak you out but they are harmless in most people. its good to see the doctor 1) to make sure there isnt something serious wrong and 2) when he tells you that they are harmless you get a sense of closure and they dont scare you as much

This is really strange and has been getting worse. I try to go to bed at night and when I just start to dose off I get a really strange feeling in my chest and it causes me to jump awake. The best way for me to describe it is, it feels like my heart almost stops beating. I just want to know what it could be, how it could be fixed, and why it may be happening.

Hey there, before I say anything, I d like to apologize for how scrambled up this message will be I hope it makes sense haha. Hi, I used to do meth. And it was fine back then. And then I quit for a while, and eventually ended up being prescribed adderall instant release (2 30mg a day twice daily for two years)took two weeks off of it every month. my tolerance skyrocketed so I d usually take more and run out anyways. It seemed to start affecting me with almost every negative side affect you can refer to but I d became healthy again after two weeks and couldn t resist getting my next prescription once the day came. It got worse every time. Including one month where I only slept every two days constantly in that pattern. My heart rate goes up wayyyy fast and sometimes I d feel like I was gonna have a seizure or something and my veins shrink incredibly thin. My skin changes color, and the month before I gave them up i was losing all my energy. I d feel motivated, but my body would just feel like a worked my ass off the day before and I d get short of breath instantly. I normally have an endless supply of stamina and at this time just bending down would make my heart beat so thick and slow like it was going to stop.(I ve always been able to feel my pulse you can even look at my stomach and watch it wave with every heart beat. ) my eyes and head would get feeling like there s just a bunch of fluid behind them pushing fairly hard, I would get little tingly abrupt feelings around my abdomen and chest and I d look and it would visibly appear to be a very thin worm under my skin, once one even turned into a scabby like rash the next day. One time I pushed on an area on my chest where I felt that sensation and two squishy little bumps popped up under my collar bone and then disappeared after I freaked out haha(this crap would only happen when I was actually taking adderall so I didn t know what to think) and so on and so forth just a lot of damn weird and crappy side affects. I eventually quit going to refill my prescription(two months ago) and been healthy. But last week I had meth right in front of my face, thought oh I used to do it occasionally I ll be okay But right off the bat my circulation was so damn bad I could not help myself for nothin. I d have to start doing push ups.. the circulation problem just comes and goes when it wants but it s usually always happening now(it s happening rightttt now, the left side of my heads even tingling, and ohh, wait my chest hurts now, but I think it s going away. The last few days I ve had some very sharp very abrupt pains located right where I can feel my pulse on my temple. It s scary as Hell. My vision even gets weird when it happens sometimes. This shit, I truely hate it. I ve been doing it almost every day since last week and everyone keeps telling me I m fine(I m in shape and young so they think nothing of it) so that just makes me feel like I can keep doing it. I need to know and be told this will kill me if I don t stop.. otherwise I won t. Don t make anything up either haha I ll know if you are.;) I just wanna know what s wrong with my body. Why is my body not wanting to cooperate with any type of amphetamine anymore? I eat everyday, a lot, and I sleep alright but not like I should. I drink plenty of water. I get exercise.. this even happened when I was doing construction today. I only smoke the stuff. Huge freakin clouds too my lungs and throat get pretty congested and I hack up super thick white crap(if I can even get it out of my throat) that stuff takes a good hacking to move. So,anyways yeah muscle spasms poor circulation heart rate spikes and slows between a pretty fair margin. I also smoke a pack of Marlboro Reds every day. I usually smoke a lot of weed but lately doing that with meth puts me in a circulation episode my lip will even tingle and get STIFF if I m sitting in a car. My heart right now is beating just under three times a second so I d guess 150-180 and I ve just been sitting in bed kinda lethargic. This rate is comfortable to me at this point, not even kiddin. But yeah sorry for this scrambled ass message there s just so much it s hard to put in good writing haha and I m sure there is a lot I forgot to tell you.

I have had cold hands all my life, and in general have been always on the cold side. I have had had back and sciatic related leg/foot pain issues for the last four years involving L4 region. I have been diagnosed with epilepsy 12 plus years ago - coinciding, time wise, with a stressful marital divorce. I question stress and or sleep apnea as a trigger, since the University of Cincinnati is studying a possible link to the apnea and epilepsy. I have been totally controlled for over 10 years with dilantin and Keppra (generic) and would love to get off medication, if not needed. Recently, I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and wear an oral appliance which is working very well. Now recently, I am experiencing an increase in numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. Also, about six/seven years ago, I started having a series of skin eruptions - small, itchy, and crusty - occurring anywhere on my body, mostly on my trunk. They are more intense initially then subside yet leaving a small, permanent and crusty eruption which may flare up on occasions. A dermatologist diagnosed this as Grover s disease. My last blood tests were mostly normal except for a high good cholesterol reading, which my M.D. stated out weighed the overall high cholesterol reading. First, what is your opinion on the skin eruptions, and secondly, how might my other issues be perceived. My blood sugar levels have been fine over the years, yet I do wonder about type two diabetes particularly with the tingling extremities. I also wonder about a possible thyroid involvement, since the blood tests have revealed a borderline reading. No history in the family of either issue. My back issue has improved recently - curiously, as the tingling became more apparent. Connection? With the present state of hurry-up office visits, my questions are superfluously addressed. - frustration. Thank you for your opinion!

Yes, thank you. I have a sore spot under my right arm & some slight shoulder pain. It looks as though under my right arm is swollen compared with my left. Also, for the past 6 months at least I have been woken several times a night with pins and needles and/or numbness in my right hand/arm. It may be that I have a tendency to lie on that side and am compressing my arm? (I can only sleep on my side as lying on my back causes sleep apnea & I can t breathe) however, sometimes I also have the pins and needles in my left hand/arm, but more frequently on my right. What could be causing these symptoms?

Hi, I m a single, full-time father to three teenaged sons, a successful, work-from-home freelance writer. My life is grand, full of love and happiness. However, about eight months ago, it was like the light s were just turned off on me -- massive fatigue set in, a significant loss in my ability to focus and concentrate, body aches, an occasionally racing heart. I d never had any problems like this before. I went to a doctor, who ran a series of blood tests, which revealed an elevated hematocrit -- not severely elevated, but well above normal. That yielded the diagnosis of polycythemia which, if you know anything about, is a condition almost always caused by something else. A CT scan of my abdomen revealed a 3-cm gallstone, a 2.7-cm hemangioma on my liver, but everything else looked good. My EKG was good. Everything else was normal. I m set to do a sleep study in a couple of weeks to rule out sleep apnea, a condition I am doubtful that I have. But I feel terrible almost all the time -- severe fatigue, tremendous difficulty concentrating and focusing (and, of course, getting my work done), body aches (especially in the left shoulder), etc. My doctor last week prescribed Vyvanse to help boost energy levels and focus, and that seems to help a little bit, but only a little bit. I m doing my very best to keep it all together for my sons, who have no idea I m feeling this way. In 1992, I had a congenital blockage removed from my right kidney, resulting in function of about 15% on that side. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Chrone’s Disease, but have had no problems – and taken no rela ted medications – since that initial illness. I have suffered for several years with erectile dysfunction, which is treated, usually effectively, with Viagra. I am on no other medications, have never had any troubles with depression or anxiety. I am absolutely determined to feel better. I have far too much I want and need to do in this, not least of all raise three good men. By the by, I m a 43-year old male, in good shape, practice yoga regularly (or did, until the last couple months). I would DEEPLY appreciate any thoughts or comments on what the heck might be happening here. Thank you so much.
