Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in. I am a qualified and certified cardiologist. I read your mail with diligence. Normally a human hearts beats for approximately some 100,000 times a day (72x60x24) and some variation in rate is expected. Normal heart range is 60-90 beats per minute in awake condition resting. With exercise it can increase. The heart rate can also vary within limits that is 60 to 90(+/- 10), in such situation no need for any testing. Holter is advised first to monitor heart rate over the delay and correlate it with patient's activity during those 24 hours. EP studies are indicated for serious form of arrhythmia. From your mail, I do not see any indication for performing these. Good Luck.

Best Wishes
