My granddaughter is a Freshman at Loyola University of Chicago.

My granddaughter is a Freshman at Loyola University of Chicago. Since last Friday she has developed multiple lesions on her lips, face and tongue. She has a high fever; painful body aches; conjunctivitis in both eyes; nausea; sore throat and congestion. Initial diagnosis is pneumonia together with an allergic reaction to her birth control pills which she began taking 3 months ago to help regulate her period. I'm not buying it! I'm concerned for her life!! Please help.

I need to find a neurologist, who is also a psychiatrist specializing in the side effects of a number of medications. I currently take medications Hwith the approval of a psychiatrist and a primary physician. My location is Northwest Chicago. City or suburbs of Chicago on the near Northwest side are a good commute.

My mother-in-law recently underwent heart surgery at Loyola in Chicago. They did a double bypass and repair of the mitral valve. It is now four days post surgery and they have reitubated her three times as she has weak lungs and is having trouble coming off the breathing machine. Now they are talking about doing dialysis on her as they are not satisfied with the urine output. I this a common procedure with post cardiac patients and if so can it just be a temporary problem.
