My father in law recently discovered blood inside his stool.

My father in law recently discovered blood inside his stool. He has had blood outside his stool before but he mentioned that this was different from any thing he has experienced. It started on Friday after eating a portion of McDonald's hamburger then a regular dinner. It was not until that night he discovered the blood inside his stool then 3 to 4 loose stools after that. He is 79 going on 80 years old in June. Any suggestions. He did experience pain with these stools.

My 92 year old father in law showed blood in his stool this morning. Plus a lot of stool. He is struggling walking, his right leg does not support him all the time, he fell two weeks ago, backwards, hitting his back and then his head. He cannot hear you unless you shout and he is very stubborn. Apparently he is eating applesauce every day.

I ve recently discovered that I poop quite an amount of blood along with my feces. The toilet water was literally red. This only started yesterday, and I feel physically normal. No pain or bruising of any sort. I am 18 years of age with no detrimental medical history, about 140 lbs, and 5 7-5 8. What could be the problem? Please help.

Hello Dr. I am a 20 year old male with a family history of ulcerative colitis and crohn s disease (my mother and her brother). Recently i started to experience blood in my stool after alcohol (not much, actually very little amounts) and I am quite sure that I at one point had an anal fissure (whether or not the initial blood came from this). I suspected the horrible Crohn s, but now I m not so sure anymore, as I just noticed a kidney bean in my stool. I have not eaten any kidney beans for years. I fished it up, and pressed it, and it had some sort of membrane that came easily off, and it revealed a white/yellowish gooey substance inside, and I am now wondering - could this whole experience of mine be a simple parasite? Best regards
