My Elderly Mother Lives In India, Is 88yrs Old, Suffers

My elderly mother lives in India, is 88yrs old, suffers from colitis and is currently (just started treatment) on medication to arrest the infection. She feels quite tired after everytime she goes to the loo. Her doc believes that the frequency to the loo will reduce, once the medication works to arrest the infection. She usually is forced to go the loo some one hour after she has something to eat. (She drinks 2 cups of 'women's horlicks per day (by mixing a spoon of horlicks each time with hot water). I understand horlicks contains whey of milk, no sugar may be a bit of milk solids amongst other vitamins. Is this drink good for her or should she avoid it as it has some milk solids?
