If the cause is always eating of sweets and fresh milk then she can be allergic to some of its constituents. Try to avoid for some time. In ayurveda milk and milk products increase kaph so they can cause running nose. In general just add a pinch of turmeric to her hot milk, this will check recurrence. basilleaves and cloves in milk render it to be not kaph increasing while turmeric increases immunity.

I would like to know birth history of you child weight & Hight of your child etc. Running nose may be due to allergic responce of body to eliminate the allergen. If your child do not has any sign of infection like fever , rashes than avoid to use antibiotic .start some immune buster like syrup Immumode (contain tinosphoria cardifolia i.e. guduhi or gudvel) Wockheart Medind for 2 - 3 months. I try to rule out the cause as per ayurveda milk is kapha vardhaka .so try to avoid it or gives it along with small quantity of shunthi powder.

Homeopath Dr. Swati Ramkumar's  Response
Dear Deepa,
I would like to know a few things like does she have any associated cough? does she sometimes have nose block as well, is her sleep disturbed , does she sleep with her mouth open at night? any family history of similar complaints ?
Allergic rhinitis is a commonly occurring condition but can impair the quality of life if not treated earliest.
Recurrent infections is sign of lowered immunity. Avoid frequent use of antibiotics as these help just temporarily, and do not tackle the underlying cause. Homeopathy on the other hand is a safe and effective solution, which acts by improving the immunity , reducing the frequency and intensity of the complaints and helping her breathe comfortably. Also since homeopathic medicines are sweet, children enjoy taking them.

In the meanwhile-
1)Clean and dust your house regularly to avoid collection of dust.
2)Vacuum the bed, sofa and other areas where dust generally gets collected, regularly.
3)Change the bedsheet and pillow covers atleast 2/ wk
4) Give her freshly cooked food and avoid giving her food kept in the refrigerator.

Visit a nearby homeopath for treatment as homeopathy would be of immense help to rid her of her complaints effectively and is beneficial in the long run.
