My dad had arrhythmia and left ventricular failure he just got home like 2 days ago Please help me!!!?
He is 65 and he was on ventilator for 3 days his blood pressure was going up and that was causing the problems for his hearth fail and he also had chest infection at the same time, doctors were not giving any answer about his progress, but now as per doctors he has recovered. We brought him home from hospital like 2 days ago I am not sure what to do. He is not strict diet and regular medication from 2 days but I am still very scared inside cuz doctors said this can happen again I am very scared to go to work please suggest what should I do. He was hospitalized for like 10 days

I'm giving you two links. The American Heart Association and the one to CHF Patients.com. His diet is very important. No/Low sodium as specified by the doctors. Check his legs, ankles, shins for swelling. If you see much/see it change call the Doctor. If he has trouble breathing take him to ER- this can manifest itself as a cough, not necessarily a big one. Read up on the web sites. They discuss medications and treatments. Look at his medication list and what they say should be standard treatment. I am a CHF patient with left ventricle failure and can attest to the VERY STRONG correlation between sodium intake and swelling. He must conform to that aspect of diet. By the way, fruit has no sodium.

Hi,
Thanks for query.
Go for cardiac evaluation.
Treat respiratory infection, otherwise this will precipitate cardiac failure.
Give him complete rest.
Ok and bye.
