My body temperature has decided to go haywaire. I get extremely cold and then I get confused like hypothermia or hypoglycemia. I have a couple of extremely disconcerting incidents when no on knew I had a problem. I'm not thinking it might be pituitary. My thyroid has not worked properly since approximately 1998. I've taken levothyroxine for years

Overall I m usually in very good health. Three days ago I suddenly felt very weak, no energy, and all my body aches. All joints, legs etc. Ache. Feel listless. Had very slight feeling of high temperature, but thermometer today says normal 98.6. Appetite is diminished, but have no upset stomach. Sinuses are not draining. No sneezing or running nose, or fever. I m trying to take in a lot of liquids; my urine is very cloudy and darker than usual. My age is 81, but I am very fit relatively. I had the customary flu shot last Sept. It s summertime here and we have unseasonable temps of near or above 100 deg. But I have avoided going outside. I live near Portland OR. Do I have simple flu or something more serious? GW

On Wednesday Jan. 10, 2018 around 2am I went into the local er because of painful body aches, chills and hot flashes, headache and sore throat. The read my temperature at 100.8 and did a test to see if it was the flu. It came back negative. The doctor gave me 2 Tylenol and told me I have some kind of viral infection and to go home yet lots of rest and drink lots of fluids. I woke up Thursday morning and my body wasnt aching and the chills went away. I noticed red spots/slight bumps that hurt and itch. I decided maybe they were part of the viral infection and that they might go away. I woke up this morning name there arena few more and they hurt a little more. Should I go back and get it checked out?

Hi, whenever I go outside when its hot or when my body heats up, I get this sensation where it feels like pins and needles are stabbing all over my body. I have a skin rash that has been going on currently for three weeks in which its stopped itching but now I experience this pain. (the skin rash has been healing). Could the two be related?
