My TSH Is 129 And I Am Taking Levothyroxine
Im a 45 year old male recently diagnosed with hypothyroid. My tsh was 129 and I was prescribed 50 mcg of levothyroxine and have taken it for 1 month. I was just retested and my tsh came back at 71. I now have a prescription for 75mcg levothyroxine. I want to know if my Dr is doing the right thing or should my tsh be dropping faster? Im a 45 year old male recently diagnosed with hypothyroid. I could hve helped you better if u had told me your weight. Your TSH is dropping well, ideally TSH is repeated once in 3 months and not once a month, however 75 mcg will be fine, repeat the TSH after 3 months and see if it has reached below 8. You r in the right line of treatment. Dosage depends on the weight
