My Mother is 85 years old and my Father told

My Mother is 85 years old and my Father told me this morning when she went to the bathroom she her stool was black, dark. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor and it being evaluated for dementia.
Should I try to get her in tomorrow (Monday) to her primary care or wait to see if it continues to be black. She lives in an Assisted Living Facility, should I have them notify the Head Nurse at the Facility first?

My father, 85, was diagnosed with shingles 4 weeks ago. He has had almost constant pain ranging from 2 (with meds) to 10 without meds (using scale 1-10). However, 5 days ago, he started having severe sharp shooting pains that makes us all start scrambling for anything that will help and usually goes away in about 2-5 minutes. THese happen randomly. Just saw a neuro-opthamologist, he said his eyelid was turned in and wants to do surgery on him to fix it. Said this could be causing these pains--We just don t see the connection--Is this true?
