Your systolic number (top) is fine, your diastolic is too low, it should not drop below 60. Add some extra salt to your diet and drink more water to bring it up some. Diet soda is good, it has a lot of sodium (salt) in it. Your pressure can range from 90/60 to 120/80 and be just fine but if the bottom number drops below 60 you need to add salt to your diet. If the top number goes much past 120 it is usually caused from stress and will decrease when your stress decreases. I work in the cardiac unit at the hospital and see blood pressure changes all the time, just a little more salt & extra water should help raise it.

I went to the Doctor s about 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with a nasty staph infection on my arm. My Blood Pressure was 150/ can t remember! Anyway he immediately wanted to put me on Blood Pressure Medicine. I told him I have no history of high Blood pressure, and after all I had a nasty infection for at least 2 weeks before I saw him. I didn t take the medicine. I m done with my strong Antibiotics and WITH NO Blood Pressure medicine my Pressure I take at home is the following. Last 4 taken 97/35-Pulse 86 106/53-Pulse 87 109/59 Pulse 71 99/61 Pulse 69 Are they in a normal range? Sometimes I feel like someone just gave me a valium -very very tired. I m a 56 year old Caucasian woman who smokes also. Freckles: Thanks for answering, but I don t think you understood what I wrote. My readings I posted are far from being considered high. I only had high BP when I was at the Doctors for a nasty staph infection. John: I never even started to take the medicine, these readings are medicine free.
What does it mean to have fluctuating blood pressure from 100/57 pulse 57 to 180/110 pulse 75 and lately with BP of 162/85 pulse 95 and 129/85 pulse 105 and 138/100 pulse 105. Could this be an indicator of some problem with the mechanism of the heart. Have had some chest discomfort relieved with nitro.

30 minutes after a run yesterday, that i did not feel was extremely stressful. my heart felt out of rhythm and i was coughing. i felt like the cough was to get it back in rhythm, is it? i am a 50 year old female, have high blood pressure and am about 40 # overweight. i have had a EKG and stress test w/ultra sound and everything is normal.
In a recent medical exam, my BP was 142/92 and my pulse rate was 63. My SpO2 was measured twice (three minutes apart) and went from 96% to 93%. I had no medical history to report to the doctor. I was basically starting fresh with my healthcare. She said my vitals were normal and stable. She said my BP was likely due to my back pain (that led to the visit in the first place). But if my pressure was high, why was my rate low?? And, what is the significance of the drop in SpO2? Thanks.
I have a rash in my groin and my body is always itchy. For about 2 years I had rashes on both my feet. It seems to have cleared now but I still have to apply dipresone everyday. I take medication for high blood pressure - Micardi Plus, Zanidip and Spiractin. Are any of these causing my rash problems?
