Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Your baby could be having blockage of the tears drainage system in the eye which is why tears are overflowing and yellowish material suggests infection like Dactrocystitis. You can try to press gently at the inner region between nose and eye to remove the yellow material which may help in opening the tract. If it does not improve in few weeks, surgery may be needed to open up the blockage.

welcome to healthcaremagic portal
your child has what is known as non canalization of nasolacrimal duct. This is a canal which drains tears into the nasal cavity.this canal is not fully open. The treatment is to put in antibiotic drops like tobramycine eye drops 4 times a day and massage at the corner of the eye3 times a day.if it does not respond by 1 year of age then a probing is to be done.
