Missing Periods For 2 Months, Spotting And Feeling Sick. Tubes Tied Years Ago. Could This Be Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hi, I did not have a period on Oct 9 nor Nov 6..but spotted on Nov 10 for a few hours, then it stopped and spotted again on Nov 23 and still bleeding but with clots and sometimes huge ones..I had my tubes tied 13 yrs ago...I was sick a week ago, I thought I had a stomach virus, stomach was very firm ..could i possible have an ectopic prgnancy..

Hello madam,from the history you have given, yes they could be a chance of failure of sterilisation resulting in tubal ectopic...But this occurs rarely, may I suggest you to do a pregnancy test immediately, you also require a pervaginal examination to see if there is any forniceal or cervical motion tenderness along with an ultrasound to rule out ectopic pregnancy...But in any case you may have to undergo an ultrasound (ideally transvaginal) to rule out any gynae pathology. ..hope i was helpful to you. ...
